Municipal Court

Overview

The Severance Municipal Court hears traffic violations, misdemeanors, and violations of the Town Code.

Penalty Assessment citations are citations that are eligible to be paid and not appear in court. To take advantage of a penalty assessment citation and receive the early settlement, you must pay before the court date to receive an automatic point reduction.

• For each violation with a point value of three or more points, two points will automatically be reduced.
• For each violation that has a point value of two points, one point will automatically be reduced.

Non-Summons Citations May Be Paid

• You can pay your citation Online. There is a 3% service fee for card payments.
• In-person: At Town Hall located at 3 S Timber Ridge Parkway during the regular office hours of 8 am to noon and 1 pm to 5 pm.
