Tree Board Vacancies
Would you like to contribute to the look and feel of our community's landscape now and in the future? The Town of Severance Tree Board comprises of six (6) Severance residents who help create, oversee, and manage standards for planting trees throughout town. Along with ensuring the Town meets all standards of Tree City USA, they review all new residential and commercial development landscape plans submitted to the town.
The Town Council is currently seeking three (3) residents to fill the Tree Board vacancies for a two-year term. The Severance Tree Board meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 pm. If you are interested in being a Tree Board Member or Tree Board Member Alternate, please email lvanarsdall@townofseverance.org before March 4th, 2024 with a letter of interest explaining why you would like to be on the Tree Board and your resume. Please note the following qualifications to serve on an appointed board or commission:
- A citizen of the United States of America.
- A registered elector of the Town and eligible to vote.
- A resident of the Town for a period of no less than twelve (12) consecutive months preceding the election.
