Mayor & Town Council

Overview

The Town Council operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The Mayor is elected to serve a four-year term and voters elect six council members to overlapping four-year terms.

The Town Council meets in the Severance Town Hall in the Council meeting room at 6:00 pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month for a Work Session and Regular Council meeting.  The Council meeting will follow the Work Session immediately, or by 7:00 pm. 

The Town of Severance does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or disability in the provision of services. For disabled persons needing reasonable accommodation to attend or participate in a town service, program, public meeting, or activity, call 970-686-1218 at least 72 hours in advance. Disabled access is available from the front entrance of the Town Hall.
