EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2022- Contractor Licensing will now be required. EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2021 - All Exterior residential concrete flatwork will require a permit and rebar/reinforcement inspection prior to pouring.

EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2021 - All Exterior residential concrete flatwork will require a permit and rebar/reinforcement inspection prior to pouring.  See Amendments listed below for requirements:

"R402.2.2 Concrete Slab Installation Requirements. With respect to all new dwellings and all repair and replacement work performed under warranty for all new dwellings, all exterior concrete flatwork including but not limited to porches, patios, sidewalks, driveways, and steps shall be reinforced with a minimum 10-gauge welded wire mesh or other acceptable reinforcement approved by the Building Official."   

"R402.2.3. Minimum Spacing of Concrete Joints. Control joints in concrete shall be spaced a minimum 30 times the thickness of the concrete and no greater than 10 feet."

No over-the-counter (aka One-Stops) will be issued without a contractor license and permits will not be sent to plan review without contractor license (general and trades).  Homeowners will not be required to have a contractor license unless they perform work at more than one residence within any given year
